What is Daily challenge in DirtBound?
Daily challenge is the DirtBound mode where every player drives the same short rally stage for one day, then compares times on a daily leaderboard that resets at midnight UTC.
The daily challenge tile on the home screen opens a single card with today’s stage and a Play button, next to the daily leaderboard. When we checked on November 1, 2026 the card read “Today: a 1.6 km stage, Varied landscape”.
How the stage is chosen. The game picks the challenge from the date alone, so your browser and the server agree on it without asking each other. Each day gets a stage number, a landscape (Varied, Lowlands or High mountains) and a length of either 1.2 or 1.6 km. The game files show that the plan is to mix in official circuits once the developers can generate new ones, but for now every daily challenge is a rally stage.
Short on purpose. Driven at top speed, even the 1.6 km version takes only about a minute, so a daily attempt fits in a short break and you can try it as many times as you like.
Rules that differ from a normal stage. The same penalties apply: 5 seconds when you are put back on the road and 10 seconds for hitting a spectator. The difference is that a daily run can go online. Sign in with Google and pick a username to have it ranked. Runs with the secret booster are not sent.
When it changes. A new challenge starts at midnight UTC. That is 7 pm Eastern or 4 pm Pacific in winter time in the United States, and 1 am in France.
