## What is Moonfire in Azeroth Survivors?

Moonfire is an Arcane spell in the Druid spell pool of Azeroth Survivors, with a base interval of 1.8 seconds between casts.

### How does Moonfire work?
Moonfire is an Arcane damage-over-time spell. Its tooltip type afflicts enemies within range and spreads the damage over a set number of ticks. The data stores 3 targets, a 30-yard range and a 5-second duration, with a recast every 1.8 seconds at base. Three targets is a lot for a Druid spell, matched only by Insect Swarm and Entangling Roots.

### Where does Moonfire fit in the Druid kit?
Force of Nature makes it a second starting spell for Balance Druids, and it pairs with Insect Swarm as the Druid's two spells that keep ticking after the cast. It is also the Druid's only Arcane damage-over-time spell, which matters for Arcane achievements and talents.

### Which talents change Moonfire?
Improved Moonfire, a row 2 Balance talent, adds damage over five ranks. Moonfury adds damage to all Arcane and Nature spells. Natural Shapeshifter in the Restoration tree adds damage to Insect Swarm and Moonfire together, so a Restoration Druid also has a reason to keep it. Force of Nature, the Balance capstone at 30 points, brings two treants to fight at your side and starts every run with Moonfire, next to Wrath rather than in place of it.

As an Arcane spell, Moonfire also counts for Blue Screen of Death, the achievement for defeating Azuregos in [Alterac Valley](/wiki/azeroth-survivors/zones/alterac-valley/) with an Arcane spell.
