What is Consecration in Azeroth Survivors?
Consecration is the starting spell of the Paladin in Azeroth Survivors, a Holy spell cast about every 8 seconds before talents and gear.
How does Consecration work?
Consecration is holy ground under your feet. Its tooltip type marks the ground where you stand once enemies come near, then every enemy within 8 yards of that spot takes Holy damage on each tick for 8 seconds. The base interval is also 8 seconds, so a fresh patch is due about when the last one fades. The patch stays where you cast it. A bonus line in the client, “Consecration moves with you,” exists to change exactly that, though the data does not say which card or item grants it.
Where does Consecration fit in the Paladin kit?
Every Paladin run starts with it. That suits the class with the most base health in the game, 245, because Consecration rewards standing in the crowd rather than running from it. The Protection tree is where it grows into a defensive tool.
Which talents change Consecration?
Improved Consecration adds part of your maximum health to every tick. Judgement of the Crusader makes enemies burning in it take more damage from you for 3 seconds. Purifying Power in the Holy tree widens both Consecration and Holy Wrath. Hallowed Ground, the Protection milestone at 10 points, lays down a free Consecration whenever a Hammer of Justice lands, at most once every 4 seconds.
Ardent Defender, the milestone at 20 points, turns each Consecration into a stacking shield of part of your maximum health, up to 30% or 39% with Blessed Life, with 20% more damage while it holds. Divine Intervention saves you from a killing blow once every 90 seconds and drops a free Consecration under you along with a free Divine Shield.
The achievement Holy Frame Drops asks for five Paladins with Consecration as their highest-ranked spell and a Consecration killing blow on High Inquisitor Whitemane in Scarlet Monastery .
