Azeroth Survivors has 12 zones that open in a fixed order, from Elwynn Forest to Naxxramas, and each one opens when you beat the previous zone's final boss with the same class. Every zone sends five bosses on a set clock. The final boss arrives at 16:00 in the first four zones, at 18:00 in the next four and at 20:00 in the last four. All health figures below are base values from version 0.132.0. Heroic multiplies enemy health by 1.79 on its first level and by 2.72 on its fifth, so read them as a way to compare zones, not as the exact numbers you will face on Heroic.

## What order do the zones unlock in?

The zones unlock in the order below, and each class works through the list on its own. A Warrior who has reached Naxxramas does not open anything for your Mage.

| # | Zone | Subtitle | Final boss | Arrives at | Base health | Opened by beating |

## When do the bosses arrive in each zone?

Bosses follow one of three schedules, depending on where the zone sits in the list. The screen shows a countdown to the next boss, so you always know how long the quiet stretch lasts.

| Zones | Boss 1 | Boss 2 | Boss 3 | Boss 4 | Final boss |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 to 4 | 3:00 | 6:00 | 9:00 | 12:00 | 16:00 |
| 5 to 8 | 4:00 | 7:00 | 11:00 | 14:00 | 18:00 |
| 9 to 12 | 4:00 | 8:00 | 12:00 | 16:00 | 20:00 |

The first four bosses in each zone, in arrival order:

| Zone | Bosses before the final one |
|---|---|
| Elwynn Forest | Hogger, Mother Fang, Rhahk'Zor, Mr. Smite |
| Duskwood | Naraxis, Mor'Ladim, Stitches, Lupos |
| Warsong Gulch | Doomguard Commander, Mannoroth's Herald, Varimathras, Lord Hel'nurath |
| Un'Goro Crater | Ravasaur Matriarch, Uhk'loc, Lar'korwi, Tyrant Devilsaur |
| Arathi Basin | Kovork, Nimar the Slayer, Marez Cowl, Lord Falconcrest |
| Feralas | Zevrim Thornhoof, Alzzin the Wildshaper, Tendris Warpwood, Immol'thar |
| Gurubashi Arena | High Priestess Jeklik, High Priest Venoxis, Bloodlord Mandokir, Jin'do the Hexxer |
| Scarlet Monastery | Houndmaster Loksey, Arcanist Doan, Herod, Scarlet Commander Mograine |
| Alterac Valley | Korrak the Bloodrager, Ivus the Forest Lord, Lokholar the Ice Lord, Glacius the Frozen Titan |
| Blackrock Mountain | General Angerforge, Warchief Rend Blackhand, Emperor Dagran Thaurissan, Majordomo Executus |
| Gates of Ahn'Qiraj | Kurinnaxx, General Rajaxx, Princess Huhuran, Ossirian the Unscarred |
| Naxxramas | Anub'Rekhan, Noth the Plaguebringer, Patchwerk, Sapphiron |

Early bosses are small next to the finale. Hogger has 3,600 base health, while Edwin VanCleef has 52,500. The [bosses table](/wiki/azeroth-survivors/bosses/) lists the base health of all 60.

## Which zone has the toughest final boss?

By base health, it is [Nefarian](/wiki/azeroth-survivors/bosses/#nefarian) in Blackrock Mountain, with 60,000. [Azuregos](/wiki/azeroth-survivors/bosses/#azuregos) and [Kel'Thuzad](/wiki/azeroth-survivors/bosses/#kelthuzad) follow at 58,500 each. The order is not a straight climb. [C'Thun](/wiki/azeroth-survivors/bosses/#cthun) in zone 11 has 55,500, less than Hakkar and Whitemane in zones 7 and 8. Health is only one measure, though. We have not compared boss attacks or the size of each horde, and Naxxramas brings 16 enemy types where every other zone has 12. Kel'Thuzad also closes the list, since beating him opens no further zone.

## What changes on Heroic?

Heroic makes a zone harder and pays more for it. The game describes it as making a zone "harder for more marks, boss loot and talent experience." You open Heroic in a zone by beating that zone on normal with your current class. From there, beating Heroic N in a zone opens the next level for every class and lets that class's gear from the zone go up to N stars. Stars on gear stay locked until you beat Heroic I in the zones that drop it. There are five Heroic levels.

Each level multiplies enemy health and damage, from x1.79 and x1.65 on Heroic I to x2.72 and x2.16 on Heroic V, and adds two rules of its own. Heroic I gives boss attacks less warning and sends elites in pairs, while Heroic IV brings back boss towers and gazes and makes a failed boss mechanic hit three times as hard. From Heroic III the horde also carries an affix: Bolstering, Sanguine or Explosive. Heroic V adds a second affix and lets the final boss bring one of the zone's earlier bosses. Marks pay x0.5 on Normal and climb to x2.5 on Heroic V. The [difficulty table](/wiki/azeroth-survivors/difficulty/) lists every multiplier and rule.

## What is endless mode?

Endless mode is what you get if you keep playing after a win. When the final boss falls, the victory screen offers "Keep fighting (endless)" next to "Again," and the run goes on with the clock still counting. Achievements in the client ask you to survive to 25:00, 30:00 and 40:00 in endless mode and to slay 3 or 6 bosses in endless in one run, so bosses keep coming after the finale. In co-op, the host picks endless or a return to the lobby, as the [co-op guide](/wiki/azeroth-survivors/guides/co-op/) explains. To try the first zone yourself, open the game from the [Azeroth Survivors game page](/game/azeroth-survivors/).

## What else do players ask about boss timers?

### Do Heroic levels open for every class?

Partly. Heroic I in a zone opens once you beat that zone on normal with the class you are playing. After that, beating Heroic N there with any class opens the next Heroic level for every class.

### How many enemy types does each zone have?

Twelve in every zone except Naxxramas, which has 16. The full list for each zone is on its zone page.
