Azeroth Survivors Co-op: Host a Lobby, Share the Code and Match Versions
Azeroth Survivors co-op holds up to five heroes: one host shares a lobby code, and everyone needs the same game version and the host's zone open.

On this page
Azeroth Survivors has co-op for two to five players. One player hosts a lobby from the hero picker, friends join with its code or from the public list and the whole party enters the host’s zone together. Two problems block most joins: a friend on a different game version and a friend whose class has not opened the host’s zone or difficulty yet. We read every co-op message in the 0.132.0 client for this guide. We have not run a full five-player party ourselves, so treat connection behavior as the game describes it rather than something we timed.
How many players can join?
A party holds up to five players, and a co-op run needs at least two. The lobby shows the count as “Party: 2/5” and so on, and a sixth player gets the message “the party is full.” If you host and try to start alone, the game stops you with “A co-op run needs at least two players: share the lobby code and wait for someone to join.”
How do you host a lobby?
Set up your hero and zone on the picker first, then choose Host the lobby. The game is clear about this: “Your hero and zone are the picker’s. Friends join with the lobby’s code; enter the zone when everyone is in.” You can give the lobby a name, and the game rejects some names with “that lobby name isn’t allowed.”
Share the lobby code with your friends, wait for them to show up and then enter the zone. “Close this window and enter the zone: everyone in the party comes along.” The run uses the host’s zone and difficulty. Each player still plays their own hero, with their own class, gear and talents. During the run you get a text party chat and a party DPS meter. After a victory, the host decides whether the party keeps fighting in endless mode or goes back to the lobby.
How do friends join?
Friends join by code or by clicking a lobby in the public list. Choose Join by code and type the code the host sent, or open the list, which shows “Public lobbies of this version.” When it works, everyone sees a line that names the new hero, race, class and zone, such as “Ayla the Gnome Mage joins the party in Elwynn Forest.” From there you wait. The game tells you: “You play the hero on your picker, in the host’s zone.” When the host enters, you come along.
If the host drops, the game shows “The host lost connection, reconnecting…” and then “The host is back.” If your own connection drops, it tries to reconnect you to the party.
Why can’t my friend join?
Almost every failed join comes with a short reason from the game. These are the ones we found in the client:
| Message | What it means | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| that lobby plays a different version of the game | Your builds do not match | Both players reload the official page |
| no lobby with that code | The code is wrong or the lobby closed | Check the code, or ask the host for a new one |
| the party is full | Five players are already in | Wait for a slot |
| already in a lobby | You are still in another party | Leave the party first |
| too many lobbies open; try again later | The co-op service is crowded | Try again later |
| the co-op service cannot be reached | The game cannot reach the co-op server | Try again later |
| co-op needs the game’s site | You are on a copy of the game | Play at wow.aethus.pl |
Zones and difficulty cause the other common problem. “Everyone who joins needs this zone and difficulty open with their class.” A friend who has only beaten Elwynn Forest with a Mage cannot follow a host into Duskwood on that Mage. The lobby marks those heroes in red, and they stay behind when the host enters. The fix is to pick a zone everyone has opened, often Elwynn Forest , or let that friend switch to a hero who has the zone.
The Windows download is dated October 19, 2026 on the server, while the browser build we checked is from October 31. A player on the Windows version and a player in the browser will likely hit the version message, though we have not tested that pairing.
Which achievements need a full party?
Eight achievements in the 0.132.0 client ask for five players, and most of them also fix the classes:
| Goal | Party |
|---|---|
| Defeat Edwin VanCleef with all five players on different classes | 5 players |
| Complete any zone with all five players on the same class | 5 of one class |
| Complete Un’Goro Crater with five Hunters | 5 Hunters |
| Defeat High Inquisitor Whitemane with five Paladins, each with Consecration as their highest-ranked spell, and Consecration landing the killing blow | 5 Paladins |
| Defeat Nefarian with five Shamans, each with Magma Totem as their highest-ranked spell, and Magma Totem landing the killing blow | 5 Shamans |
| Defeat Kel’Thuzad on Heroic III with five Druids , all talented into Tranquility, and Tranquility landing the killing blow | 5 Druids |
| Defeat Hakkar with five Warriors , all talented into Bladestorm, and Whirlwind landing the killing blow | 5 Warriors |
| Beat Heroic III or harder in a party of five | 5 players |
Several more need a smaller group. One asks you to win with three or more heroes, all wearing the same set’s 8-piece bonus. Another asks you to survive 40 minutes or longer in Naxxramas on Heroic V with at least two other players. A handful need just one partner, such as defeating C’Thun on Heroic III or harder, completing Duskwood with no one dying or completing all 12 zones in co-op across any number of runs. Achievements earn the points that open races and perks for your whole account, so co-op runs pay off for solo play too. The achievements table lists all 17 Co-op goals with their points. Tranquility is a Druid milestone talent listed in the talents table . To get started, open the game from the Azeroth Survivors game page , and read the zones guide to see which zone everyone in your group can reach.
