Warlock is one of the nine Azeroth Survivors classes: it starts each run with Shadow Bolt on 165 base health and draws from a 12-spell pool.
The class picker describes the Warlock like this: “Curses and fire. Damage over time stacks up on everything that chases you.”
Spell pool (12): Shadow Bolt, Corruption, Immolate, Curse of Agony, Rain of Fire, Hellfire, Death Coil, Searing Pain, Drain Life, Fear, Soulfire and Demonic Empowerment. Level-up cards offer spells from this pool, and Shadow Bolt is the one you start with.
Talent trees: Affliction, Demonology and Destruction, with 40 talents in all. Each tree ends in a capstone, and 7 of the talents are milestones.
Capstones:
- Seed of Corruption (Affliction): You start every run with Corruption, and enemies that die afflicted by your damage-over-time effects burst for a share of their maximum health on everything within 6 yd.
- Pact of the Nathrezim (Demonology): Summons a Dread Lord for a limited time every 30 sec, reduced by CDR (min 13 sec). Up to 2 active. Felseeker inherits your Searing Pain upgrades and deals 25% more damage to its primary target. It hits up to 6 enemies. Exclusive with Butcher.
- Butcher (Demonology): Summons a Felguard for a limited time every 30 sec, reduced by CDR (min 13 sec). Up to 2 active. Cleaves up to 10 enemies within 15 yd. Every third swing deals double damage. Deals 50% more damage below 30% enemy health. Exclusive with Pact of the Nathrezim.
- Rain of Chaos (Destruction): A second Rain of Fire falls on its own every 13 sec, and its burning ground slows what it touches.
