What the Buck?! is an incremental game where you swipe cash out of an ATM and shred the bills to earn money for upgrades. What the Buck?! is made by Kohlgames. UBG76 is not its developer or official site. What the Buck?! opens on the developer's itch.io page because it cannot be embedded on other sites.
The premise is gloriously silly: the fastest way to make money is to destroy it. A shift starts at a table with an ATM in the corner. You swipe the credit card and bills land on the table. Then you steer the breaker over them to shred them. Every bill you destroy pays out, and the shreds go in the trash. A little readout keeps track of your funds and your Prestige Points.
The bills get more interesting as you go. Electric bills arc to the bills next to them, explosive bills blow up the stack around them and burning bills set their neighbors on fire. With the right upgrades, one hit clears the whole table. Keep destroying without a pause and the combo meter fills. Every Frenzy stage pays more, and the numbers on the table grow with it.
There is a lot to buy. The developer counts over 240 upgrades across the upgrade panels, the skill tree and the prestige tree: new bill types, bigger bundles, coins, diamonds, a flamethrower and a second ATM. Each branch changes how the table plays. Your boss, Mr. Buck, calls in on a pixel phone with instructions and opinions while you work.
Destroying money also earns Prestige Points. When the shift slows down, you end it and spend those points on permanent upgrades such as an auto swiper, a second ATM or a combo meter, and the next shift starts stronger. The browser version is a demo by Kohlgames that covers the start of the game. The full game comes out on Steam on November 9, 2026, and progress from the free Steam demo carries over to it. The Play button here opens the demo on the developer's itch.io page.

Swipe the card through the ATM to drop bills on the table, steer the breaker over them to shred them, then spend the payout on upgrades.
Swipe the credit card through the ATM in the corner of the table and a stack of bills lands in front of you.
Steer the breaker over the bills with your mouse to shred them. Every bill you destroy pays out, and the shreds go in the trash.
Spend your funds on the upgrade panels and skill tree. When progress slows, end the shift and spend your Prestige Points on permanent upgrades before the next one.
The fun is chain reactions: electric, explosive and gold bills set each other off, and the combo meter pushes payouts higher during Frenzy.
The whole hook of What the Buck?! is that shredding money makes you richer. Every bill you destroy pays out.
Electric bills arc to their neighbors, explosive bills blow up the stack and burning bills spread fire. One good hit can clear the table.
Upgrade panels, a skill tree and a prestige tree add new bill types, bigger bundles, coins, diamonds, a flamethrower and a second ATM.
Keep destroying without a pause and the combo meter fills. Every Frenzy stage pays more than the last.
End a slow shift to spend Prestige Points on permanent upgrades like the Auto Swiper, so the next shift starts stronger.
A wooden table, a chunky ATM and stacks of pixel cash give the game a warm retro look, and the developer states that no generative AI was used.
What the Buck?! is for incremental and clicker fans who enjoy absurd humor, chain reactions and a deep upgrade tree.
If you love watching a number climb and feeding it back into upgrades, What the Buck?! nails the loop with a satisfying shred at the center of it.
Upgrade panels, a skill tree and a prestige tree give the game more strategy than a plain clicker. There is a build to plan here, and clicking is only part of it.
Getting rich by shredding money is a joke the whole game leans into, and Mr. Buck's phone calls keep it going.
Keep shredding without pauses to build the combo meter, and end the shift once progress slows so you can spend Prestige Points.
Ride the combo meter. Keep destroying bills without a pause so the combo meter fills. Each Frenzy stage pays more, so long unbroken streaks are worth chasing.
Set up chain reactions. Electric and explosive bills hit the bills around them. Let them land in a crowd before you trigger them to clear more of the table at once.
End the shift when it slows. Ending a shift is not a loss. When progress crawls, cash in your Prestige Points for permanent upgrades and start the next shift stronger.
Get the Auto Swiper early. The Auto Swiper is one of the first prestige upgrades in the demo. It keeps bills coming so you can focus on shredding.
The demo is free. It runs in your browser on the developer's itch.io page, and there is also a free demo on Steam. The full game comes out on Steam on November 9, 2026.
No. The demo is an HTML5 build that runs in your browser tab on itch.io. Downloads for Windows, macOS and Linux are also listed there if you prefer.
Swipe the credit card through the ATM to drop bills on the table, then steer the breaker over them to shred them. Spend the payout on upgrades, and end the shift when progress slows to spend your Prestige Points.
That is the joke at the heart of What the Buck?! Every bill you shred pays out, and your boss, Mr. Buck, calls in to cheer on the chaos. The premise is meant to be absurd.
Destroying money earns Prestige Points. When a shift slows down, you end it and spend those points on permanent upgrades, such as the Auto Swiper, the End Shift Shortcut and Frenzy in the demo. The next shift starts stronger.
The demo is the start of the full game: $1, $2 and $5 bills, electric, explosive and gold bills, coins and the first prestige upgrades. Fire, diamonds, stock certificates, the second ATM and bills from $10 up are only in the full game.
The itch.io page lists keyboard and mouse as inputs, so it plays best on a desktop or laptop. It may load in some mobile browsers, but controls can be awkward on a touchscreen.
Browser demo progress is saved in your browser, so it stays as long as you keep your site data. The developer says progress from the free Steam demo carries over to the full game.
