## What is Submersible?

Submersible started life as a Scratch project, and its creator says it took hundreds of hours over a year and a half to finish. The result is a full game that runs about two to three hours from start to end. Your home is a ship on the surface. Every dive begins and ends there, and everything you find below has to make it back up to count.

You start with a basic sub and a lot of dark water. Out there you mine resources and scan what you find, and back at the ship you recharge, repair and spend what you collected on upgrades. Over time you add more subs to the fleet and push to depths the first one could never reach.

The heart of the game is building your own sub. You can change hulls and swap out every part that makes it run, including batteries, thrusters and tools. Parts stack, so two thrusters move you faster than one. There is no single right setup, and a lot of the fun comes from trying combinations and seeing what each one lets you do.

Two limits keep every dive tense. Your battery has to last the trip back, and your comms range sets how far the sub can travel from the ship. Run out of power or drift out of range and you lose the sub along with every part and item on it. You can send a second sub to recover what was lost, and a locator beacon improves your chances.

The copy on this page is a TurboWarp package of the Scratch original, which its creator recommends for smoother play. Submersible needs both a mouse and a keyboard, so it is a desktop and laptop game. The question in its description is simple: how deep can you go? It is what keeps you sending one more sub into the dark.

## How do you play Submersible?

Move your sub with W, A, S and D, aim and use tools with the mouse, then return to your ship to recharge, repair and buy upgrades.

1. **Launch a sub from your ship**: Your ship on the surface is home base. Pick a sub, launch it and move with W, A, S and D while the mouse aims your tool.
2. **Mine, scan and explore**: Use your tool on the world to mine resources and scan what you find. Scanning and achievements also earn funds you can spend later.
3. **Head home before the battery runs out**: Return to the ship to recharge, repair and deposit what you collected. Watch your battery and comms range so the sub makes it back.
4. **Upgrade and go deeper**: Swap in better hulls, batteries, thrusters and tools at the ship, stack parts for more power, then dive again further than before.

### Controls

- Move the sub: W A S D
- Aim / use tool: Mouse
- Inventory: E
- Toggle light: L
- Map: M
- Add waypoint: P

## What makes Submersible fun?

Building your own sub from swappable hulls, batteries, thrusters and tools is the fun, along with the tension of making it home on one charge.

- **A descent worth making**: Submersible is about going deeper, and the dark water keeps that simple hook gripping from the first dive to the last.
- **Build your own sub**: Change hulls and swap every part, from batteries to thrusters to tools. Parts stack, so experimenting with layouts really pays off.
- **Real stakes**: Lose power or drift out of comms range and the sub is gone with everything on it, unless a second sub can recover the wreck.
- **A full game with an ending**: Its creator puts a complete run at about two to three hours, and credits roll when you finish.
- **Free in the browser**: Runs in a desktop browser with no install, no sign-up and no paywall. It is a large game, so give it a moment to load.
- **Map, light and waypoints**: Open the map with M, toggle your light with L and drop waypoints with P so you can find your way back to good spots.

## Who is Submersible for?

Submersible is for patient players who like exploration, upgrade loops and a game they can finish in a few evenings on a computer.

- **Curious explorers**: If 'what's down there?' is enough to keep you playing, Submersible is built for exactly that itch.
- **Tinkerers**: Swapping hulls, stacking thrusters and testing battery setups gives you plenty to fiddle with between dives.
- **Upgrade-loop fans**: Mine, sell, upgrade, dive deeper. The loop is steady and every new part changes what the next dive can do.
- **Players who like an ending**: At two to three hours, Submersible is a game you can actually finish over a few sessions.

## What are the best tips for Submersible?

Always keep enough battery to get home, stay inside comms range and fit a locator beacon so a lost sub can be recovered.

- **Don't out-dive your battery.** Make sure you have enough charge to get back to the ship. Running dry deep down means losing the sub and everything on it.
- **Respect the comms range.** Traveling out of range risks losing the sub just like running out of power. A communications booster part doubles that range.
- **Fit a locator beacon.** If a sub with a beacon is lost, a second sub has a better chance of recovering its parts and items.
- **Stack parts for more power.** Two thrusters move you faster than one. Try different layouts until you find one that suits how you like to dive.
- **Copy your save code.** Save codes live in the main menu and they are long, so paste yours somewhere safe before you close the tab.
- **Do the tutorial.** Most of what you need to know is taught in the in-game tutorial, so let it walk you through the basics before you push deep.

## What do players ask about Submersible?

### Is Submersible free to play?

Yes. Submersible runs free in your browser with no download and no sign-up. Open the page and click to start. Then launch your first sub.

### What is Submersible about?

It's a deep-sea exploration game. You pilot a fleet of uncrewed submersibles from a ship on the surface, mine resources, upgrade your subs and see how deep you can go. A full run takes about two to three hours.

### Who made Submersible?

Submersible was made on Scratch by a user named awesome-llama, who says they created or edited most of the art. The version on this page is a TurboWarp package of that Scratch project.

### How do you control the submersible?

Move with W, A, S and D and use the mouse to aim and use your tool. E opens the inventory, L toggles the light, M opens the map, P adds a waypoint, I shows or hides waypoints and X deletes the object under the cursor.

### Can I play Submersible on mobile?

No. Its creator lists a mouse and keyboard as required, so you need a desktop or laptop to play.

### What happens if I lose a sub in Submersible?

Losing a sub means losing it along with every part and item it carried. You can launch a second sub to try to recover the items, and a locator beacon on the lost sub raises your chances.

### What is comms range in Submersible?

Comms range is how far your sub can travel from the ship. Going past it risks losing the sub, much like running out of battery. A communications booster part doubles the range.

### How long does Submersible take to finish?

Its creator says the game takes about two to three hours to complete, and the credits are shown when you finish.

### Does Submersible save my progress?

Submersible uses save codes, which you get from the main menu. They are long, so copy yours into a note before you close the tab and paste it back in to continue.

### Is Submersible okay to play at school?

Check your school's rules first. Submersible plays in a regular browser tab, but UBG76 is not a proxy and does not unblock anything. A full run takes about two to three hours and needs a keyboard and mouse, so it suits a free period on a computer more than a five-minute break. Copy your save code before you close the tab.
