What is Charger City Driver?
Charger City Driver is an open-world driving game where you drift and boost a muscle car through a night city to clear speed, stunt and drift triggers. Charger City Driver is made by Fuego! Games. The city is open from the first second. There is no starting line and no countdown. You start on foot, press E to climb into the car, pick a direction and decide for yourself whether tonight is about cruising, speed or long smoky drifts.
Spread around the map are neon gates called triggers. Drift triggers want a combo score, speed triggers want you past a set speed and stunt triggers sit near ramps and jumps. Clear one and you earn credits. That gives every lap of the city a small goal without turning the game into a strict race.
Credits pay for upgrades to the engine, nitro, fuel tank and drift handling, plus paint, rims, spoilers and neon lights. You can set the car up for drift or for grip. Fuel runs down as you drive, so you stop at gas stations to refill, and running dry costs you a big emergency refill fee.
The city has AI traffic and pedestrians. Hit a pedestrian, even by accident, and the police come after you. Get busted and you pay bail in credits or watch an ad. There are four game modes in all, free roam plus drift, police and pedestrian challenges, and you can also step out of the car and walk around on foot.
