You can play nine free idle and incremental games in a browser through UBG76, with no download and no account. Six of them are free demos of games sold or coming on Steam, and two of them support touch. The part most lists skip is saving. Only some of these games keep earning after you close the tab, and the ones that save to your browser lose that save if you clear site data. None of them play on UBG76 itself, since each one opens in a new tab on the site that publishes it.

## Which idle games can you play free in a browser?

## What is the difference between idle, incremental and clicker games?

Idle games keep earning while you are away, incremental games center on numbers that grow with every upgrade and clicker games ask for active input, such as clicking. Wikipedia describes incremental games as built on the "incremental accumulation of in-game resources," and it calls the ones that lean on automation, where progress goes on with little input, idle games. Most games mix these ideas, and the article notes that "Many incremental games combine both elements."

The nine games above mix them in different amounts. TL;DR and Slice To Meet You start as hands-on games, since you earn by typing or by holding to slice, and then upgrades take over. TL;DR's monkeys and overdrive type more of the book for you, and Slice To Meet You's AutoSlicer chops without you holding the button. Rise of the Mogul sits at the idle end. Its cascade economy has higher tiers of the business run the tiers below them, so more of the empire runs itself the longer you play.

## Do idle games keep running after you close the tab?

Some do and some do not, and you have to check each game. Poki's idle FAQ gives the same answer: "Some do, but offline progress depends on the game." Offline progress is usually a calculation, not a game that keeps running. The Clicker Heroes developers explain that their game records your idle damage when you close it and works out what you earned when you come back.

The developer pages for these games describe saves and offline progress this way:

- **Hidden Grimoire: Idle Alchemy** keeps simulating while you are away, for up to eight hours by default, and the limit can be raised.
- **Rise of the Mogul** calculates what you earned while you were gone and shows a revenue report when you return.
- **TL;DR** saves automatically. The demo ends with the first chapter of Moby-Dick.
- **What the Buck?!** saves demo progress in your browser, so it stays as long as you keep your site data.

Neither TL;DR nor What the Buck?! lists offline earnings. Plinko Idle has an AFK Gain upgrade that raises what you earn while away, which we found in our own play test.

For Feed the AI, MineCash, More Fish Idle Clicker and Slice To Meet You, we have not confirmed offline earnings, so treat them as games that move only while the tab is open. MineCash also runs in timed sessions, and More Fish Idle Clicker plays in rounds.

Saves deserve one more warning. Browser games often keep progress in local storage, which MDN says "persists even when the browser is closed and reopened." Private windows are different. MDN notes that in private mode, stored data "is deleted when the browser or browser tab is closed." If you want to keep an idle save, do not play in a private or incognito window.

## Which of these are free demos of Steam games?

Six of the nine are demos. The browser version gives you the start of the game, and the full game is sold, or will be sold, on Steam.

| Game | Full game on Steam |
|---|---|
| Feed the AI | Out since August 24, 2026 |
| More Fish Idle Clicker | Out since July 17, 2026, for Windows, macOS and Linux |
| Slice To Meet You | Out since June 24, 2026, for Windows |
| What the Buck?! | Due November 9, 2026 |
| TL;DR | Planned for 2027 |
| MineCash | Listed, no release date yet |

A demo is still worth playing. It shows you the core loop before you decide to buy anything. Keep the limits in mind, though. The What the Buck?! demo stops before fire, diamonds and bills from $10 up, and the TL;DR demo covers the tutorial and one chapter. Hidden Grimoire and Rise of the Mogul are not demos, but both are marked as in development, so recipes, features and balance can change between updates.

## Which idle game should you start with?

Pick by device and by how much attention you want to give. For a phone, start with [Plinko Idle](https://ubg76.uk/game/plinko-idle/) or [Hidden Grimoire](https://ubg76.uk/game/hidden-grimoire-idle-alchemy/), the two games here that support touch. CrazyGames lists Plinko Idle for desktop, mobile and tablet browsers, and every action is a tap.

If you want a game to check in on now and then, Hidden Grimoire's eight hours of offline progress and [Rise of the Mogul's revenue report](https://ubg76.uk/game/rise-of-the-mogul/) suit that best. For a relaxed, hands-on session at a computer, [More Fish Idle Clicker](https://ubg76.uk/game/morefishidleclicker/) is the most unusual pick, since you catch fish by hovering the cursor over them instead of clicking. If you would rather use the keyboard, TL;DR turns typing into income. And if you already know you like a game's loop, the Steam demos above are a free way to test it first.

## What else do readers ask about this guide?

### Does Plinko Idle use real money?

No. Plinko Idle uses a plinko board as a game mechanic. The cash is in-game money for upgrades, and there are no real bets, deposits or payouts.

### Why do these idle games open on another site?

Their developers publish them on itch.io or CrazyGames and they cannot be embedded on other sites, so UBG76 opens the real game in a new tab. Our guide to browser games that will not load explains why.
